Permanent Makeup - FAQ
Developed by the ancient Egyptians, permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing. With modern day technological advances, the technique for the application of permanent makeup has been revolutionized to provide subtle and amazing results with little down time. The technique deposits tiny individual amounts of pigment (different colours depending on the area of application) into the dermal layer of the skin, thus making it permanent much like a tattoo.

Generally, most colours last between 3 to 5 years, however depending on the skin type, some individuals will have their application last up to 10 years! It is recommended that touch-ups are done when the colour gradually fades in order to maintain your desired appearance. You can also change the colour of your makeup, to fit with changing trends or simply if you desire a refreshing new look!
Expect to experience some redness, swelling, and tenderness to the areas in which permanent makeup has been applied. This will only last approximately 24 hours following the procedure. For the first week after you've received your permanent makeup, you shouldn't apply any makeup and you must keep the area clean. It is normal to experience some peeling or lightening of the colour(s), so don't fret! Also, within the first week you may notice a need for touchups or adjustment which can be booked directly through us at no extra charge.
